The Charlotte Chapter is currently offering the following courses:
 

Integrated Business Planning Breakfast Seminar

 

Oliver Wight is planning a complimentary breakfast seminar on "Integrated Business Planning" (Advanced S&OP) on June 23, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, (8:00 to 9:00 am Cont. Breakfast), at the Marriott Executive Park in Charlotte, (at Tyvola and I-77).  This will be an excellent education session on IBP for the Charlotte chapter member company's executives and mid-level management people considering, implementing or now using a sales and operations planning process.

 

Online Certification Maintenance

 

APICS is launching an online Certification Maintenance application form, which will enable all Certification Maintenance candidates to submit applications through the APICS Web site. The new submission method offers the following enhancements

  • Pre-populated contact information
  • Secure electronic payment
  • Automatic response to candidates that the application has been received
  • Combined point tracking form and professional development journal
  • Decreased response time
  • Ability to update and re-submit information if required
  • Electronic notification of approval or denial (with specific denial reason) within two weeks

A printable form will still be available for those who wish to pay by check. The online and printable application forms can be accessed through apics.org/certification/maintenance.

CSCP Preparation Class

The Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preparation class will be offered at CPCC beginning on March 26th.

  • Dates: Fridays, 3/26/10 – 5/21/10
  • Class meets only on these dates: 3/26, 4/9, 4/23, 5/7, 5/21
  • Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Location: CPCC Harper Campus (near Charlotte airport)
  • Cost: $1999* -- includes materials (CSCP Learning System Manuals & Learning System online software ) and CAPS* fee
  • Course Number: SCP 8000-01

Basics of Supply Chain Management Certification Review Course

The Charlotte APICS chapter is hosting a Basics of Supply Chain Management certification review course beginning Tuesday April 6th from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Material Handling Institute of America. This is a nine session course and will enable you to start becoming prepared for the first module of the APICS CPIM certification.

  Fundamentals
In order to meet the varying needs of our students, APICS will be offering the four Fundamentals courses upon demand.

 
Often in the past the only courses available to the new production and inventory management practitioner were the CPIM review courses.  The APICS Fundamentals courses are targeted toward the new practitioner, and are not intended to directly prepare students to take the APICS CPIM professional certification exams.

We believe that the Fundamentals courses are best suited for:
