CPIM
Certified in
Production and Inventory Management
The CPIM program was developed by
APICS in 1973 to provide a common
basis for individuals to assess
their knowledge of the evolving
field of production and inventory
management. More than 66,000
professionals are now CPIM, 2500 at
the Fellow level.
To better management the rapid
expansion of information within the
production and inventory management
field, the CPIM program has
undergone a reconfiguration
effective September 1, 2000. The
reconfiguration consolidates the
former seven CPIM program modules
into five process-oriented topic
areas to provide our members and
customers with the best possible
educational assessment and knowledge
base. All exams taken under
the former program will continue to
count toward certification. If
you have any questions about the
CPIM Reconfiguration Transition
Mapping, please contact Society
Headquarters at 1-800-444-2742.
