About
our Speaker
Corbett Foster
graduated from the United States
Military Academy at West Point in
1994 with an engineering degree.
After serving five years in the 3rd
Infantry Division as a field
artillery officer, he accepted a
logistics role at Duracell. While
at Duracell, a Gillette company,
Corbett served in a series of roles
of increasing responsibility
including logistics, scheduling, and
procurement. In 2004, Corbett left
Duracell and accepted a role as
Materials Manager at Danaher’s Tool
Group division located in Gastonia,
NC. Danaher, a $12B diversified
manufacturing company, designs,
manufactures, and markets innovative
products, services, and technologies
with strong brand names and
significant market positions.
Brands include Craftsman, Fluke,
Tektronix, Hach, Gilbarco, Video
Jet, Pelton & Crane, Leica, and KaVo,
among others. Danaher’s success is
due in no small part to the Danaher
Business System (DBS). Based on the
principles of lean manufacturing,
DBS has evolved from a collection of
manufacturing improvement tools into
a philosophy, set of values and
series of management processes that
collectively define who Danaher is
and how it operates. Corbett is
currently a commodity manager
responsible for steel and hand
tools.
Corbett has an MBA
from Wake Forest University. Other
credentials include C.P.I.M, CPM,
and CSCP.
