Profile

Chris is in Larson Allen’s Manufacturing and Distribution Group. He is an experienced manufacturing executive with a track record of leading transformational change and generating world class performance. 

Experience Summary

Before joining LarsonAllen in 2009, Chris gained experience as a senior executive in several different capacities in HNI – HON Industries.  He most recently held the position of Senior VP of Operations and Supply Chain Management for Hearth and Home Technologies a $600M operating company of HNI.  Prior to that he was COO for Omni Workspace Solutions and led the integration of six acquired service providing branch locations.  Chris has worked from one end of the spectrum to other as he grew up in a small family business that was later sold to HNI a $2+ billion publicly held corporation.  While each organization and role was unique, there was a common thread – each organization required rapid, transformational change to support growth and scalability.  His experience in building robust processes, solid process discipline and winning teams has been accomplished by dedication to the following fundamentals:

·         Keeping things simple so everyone can contribute and add value

·         Dedication to cost reduction strategies and lean manufacturing principles

·         Managing for daily improvements and focusing on the fundamentals that drive Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety.

·         Leveraging resources – the right people in the right positions

·         Clarity regarding responsibilities and accountability (measuring performance).

·         Integrating acquisitions and streamlining the entire value stream enterprise wide

 Chris has been widely recognized for the accomplishments and transformations in the organizations he has worked, he has been nationally recognized for manufacturing excellence with two Shingo Prize award winning plants. 

Educational/professional involvement

Chris graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and minors in Math and Accounting.  He also has an MBA from St. Cloud State University with an emphasis in Operations. Chris specializes in Operational Excellence Consulting in the Manufacturing and Distribution industry segments – internally and externally.

Experience in serving clients

Chris’s experience in manufacturing, supply chain management and the service segments of both Hearth products and office furniture provides a great foundation to work with clients and associates to improve business results and performance with a collaborative team approach
